DALTON, GA - Dalton Public Schools is pleased to announce the launch of the Cyber Academy, a forward-thinking flexible learning initiative designed to meet the diverse academic and personal needs of high school students across the district. Offering a flexible and customized approach to education, the Cyber Academy features three distinct programs—Resilience, Elevate, and Apex—each crafted to support student success through a blend of structure, adaptability, and individualized support.

“The Cyber Academy is about meeting students where they are,” said Dr. Steven Craft, Superintendent of Dalton Public Schools. “Whether a student is overcoming challenges, recovering credits, or ready to accelerate their education, this initiative allows us to offer high-quality, individualized instruction in a more flexible format—while still maintaining the strong relationships and high expectations that define a Dalton Public Schools education.”

The Cyber Academy includes three distinct programs, each designed for a specific student profile:

  • Apex Program: Accelerate Your Education. Take Ownership of Your Future.
Designed for academically on-track, self-motivated students, Apex offers an accelerated, independent learning model. Ideal for students pursuing early graduation, dual enrollment, or advanced academic goals, Apex supports learners seeking greater autonomy and a flexible schedule.

  • Elevate Program: Recover Credits. Reclaim Your Path. Rise to Graduate.
A flexible credit recovery option for students who are behind academically or balancing work or other life responsibilities. Elevate combines virtual coursework with regular in-person support to help students catch up and move forward confidently.

  • Resilience Program: A Fresh Start. A Path Forward.
Resilience is a referral-only program that offers a structured, supportive environment for students in need of a fresh academic start. Centered on restorative practices, life skill development, and comprehensive wraparound services, the program is designed for students navigating behavioral, engagement, or personal challenges who would benefit from an alternative educational setting.

Each program integrates virtual instruction with targeted in-person support, ensuring students remain connected, engaged, and accountable on their path to graduation.

The Cyber Academy is open to high school students enrolled in Dalton Public Schools. Student fit and readiness are evaluated during the application process in partnership with school counselors and administrators. Placement in each program is based on academic standing, motivation, and individual needs.
