DALTON, Ga. — Dalton Public Schools is proud to announce that Dalton High School graduate Olivia Bowen has been awarded a $4,500 All-Access Pass Program Scholarship from the Fox Theatre.
Bowen earned the scholarship through her participation in the Fox Theatre’s All-Access Pass Program, an immersive educational experience designed to enlighten and inspire high school students as they explore the many forms of work within the creative world of the performing arts.
"We are incredibly proud of Olivia Bowen for being selected as a recipient of a scholarship from the historic Fox Theatre," said DHS Theatre Director Alana Sane. "Olivia’s dedication, leadership, and passion for theatre have made a tremendous impact on our program, and this recognition is a reflection of the hard work, artistry, and ideas of inclusion she brings to every production."
Dalton High School is one of the participating schools in the All-Access Pass Program, providing students with opportunities to learn directly from professionals working across the arts and entertainment industries. Through the program, students gain exposure to a wide range of creative career pathways, including theater, music, dance, film, technical theater, arts education and arts management.
The program gives students a behind-the-scenes look at the performing arts while helping them better understand the many roles that contribute to a successful production or creative organization. By connecting students with industry professionals and real-world learning experiences, the All-Access Pass Program supports Dalton High School’s continued efforts to help students explore future college and career opportunities connected to their interests and talents.
"This scholarship means so much to our theatre program because it highlights the value of arts education and the opportunities it can create for students," Sane said. "Olivia’s achievement inspires younger performers and technicians to pursue excellence, creativity, and leadership both on and off the stage. We are grateful to the Fox Theatre for investing in the future of student artists and for supporting programs like ours that help students grow in confidence, collaboration, and storytelling."
As part of the program, outstanding graduating 12th-grade students from participating All-Access Pass high schools are selected to receive scholarships to further their education in performing arts, technical theater, arts education, film, or arts management at a college, university, or technical school.
Bowen’s selection recognizes her dedication, talent and commitment to pursuing opportunities in the performing arts and creative industries.
Dalton Public Schools congratulates Olivia Bowen on this outstanding honor and wishes her continued success as she takes the next step in her educational journey.
