During Dalton High School Teacher Appreciation Week, the celebration began with frozen yogurts from Yandy's Frozen Yogurt. Throughout the week, our faculty and staff enjoyed a variety of special treats. Monday featured delicious drinks from Una Mas, Tuesday included a coffee bar and paletas from Paleteria La Reyna, Wednesday brought a delicious lunch from GA Tacos, and Thursday started with breakfast pancakes from Love at First Bite.
We wrapped up the week with a Happy Cart full of supplies so teachers could choose their favorites. We truly love and appreciate our DHS faculty and staff for all they do each day!

Amna Hussein was recognized on Thursday by the Daughter of the American Revolution for being Dalton High School's Good Citizen. The DAR Good Citizen must have the qualities of Dependability, Service, Leadership and Patriotism. The student was nominated by the faculty and voted on by the senior class.

Congratulations to Hla Zar. She has been selected for the
Classics Gateway award for summer study at Emory’s Pre-College summer program in the
summer of 2026. The award covers the full cost of tuition, room and board for attendance and
the course, ‘Archaeological Investigation: Pompeii and Herculaneum’. The experience of the pre-college program will also include lots of wonderful opportunities and experiences on Emory’s campus and in the greater Atlanta area. Way to go Hla!

Hiam Maldonado is the Dalton High Star Student. He selected Matt Harris for his Star Teacher. Hiam plans to attend Georgia Tech in the fall.
