đŠđLast week was School Lunch Appreciation Week, and we cannot forget to thank our incredible cafeteria staff! These ladies serve all the warmth and smiles to our Lions every single day, and we are always appreciative of their hard work and heart.
đŠâ»ïžOur 3rd Grade Conservation Crew put their creativity and STEM skills to work by transforming recycled materials into unique, wearable fashion! From designing to creating, our Lions had so much fun thinking outside the box and giving everyday materials a brand-new purpose. We are so proud of our young designers and their creativity, hard work, and commitment to reducing, reusing, and recycling! What an amazing day on the runway!
đŠđOur youngest Lions are in the best hands thanks to our fabulous Brookwood Pre-K staff! Their hearts are all in, and we are so thankful they choose to call Brookwood home!

đŠđLiteracy Night recap - thank you to all of our Lion families that came out to learn more about literacy at Brookwood!
đŠđą Reminder: Today is an Early Release Day (@12:15 pm) & Monday, September 28, is a Virtual Day for our Lions! We will see you back at Brookwood on Tuesday, September 29!
đŠâ»ïžOur 3rd grade Nature's Helping Hands took a trip to the landfill! They experienced, first-hand, the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. They also gained a deeper understanding of why we should do our best to keep trash out of landfills and always take steps to keep our Earth clean. They are learning that even small choices can make a big difference! #BrookwoodSTEM
đŠđ»Our Kindergarten Nature Protectors have been learning about the five senses, living and nonliving, and how to make an observation. Last week, they visited Lakeshore Park for the first time to apply what they have learned in a real-world setting! This is the first of many trips these Nature Protectors will make as they learn how to notice and solve problems in nature. #BrookwoodSTEM
đŠđLet's celebrate Dalton High School's Homecoming next week with a Red Out on Friday, September 25th!
â°Reminder: This will also be an Early Release Day to allow everyone to prepare for the Homecoming Parade!
đŠđ§Our Lions have entered the construction zone in Career Lab! This week, all of our classes have been learning more about employability skills such as communication, problem solving, and teamwork. They have been given the option to work as an independent contractor or as a company to get their "jobs" completed. We have loved exposing our Lions to a variety of career paths and providing them opportunities to experience "a day on the job."
đŠđżYesterday, our Pre-K Lions used their five senses to explore popcorn! They had so much fun learning through our senses!
đ They heard the popcorn POP!
đ They saw the white, fluffy popcorn!
đ They smelled the yummy buttery popcorn!
đ They tasted the salty popcorn!
â They felt the soft, fluffy popcorn!
It was such a fun (and tasty!) way for them to learn about their five senses! đżđ
