Our 4th graders had an exciting day in Chattanooga! They visited the TN Aquarium IMAX Center and explored Ross’ Landing Park to see the replica ships of La Niña and La Pinta. Students learned about history up close and enjoyed a fun day of learning and adventure.

Our 3rd graders had an exciting field trip to the Booth Museum where they learned all about American Indians! Students explored the exhibits, discovered new information, and enjoyed hands on learning outside the classroom. It was a great day of learning and adventure!

As part of American Education Week, Board Member Mr. Tulley Johnson visited our school today to celebrate our teachers and staff. He stopped by classrooms, shared his appreciation for everyone’s hard work, and gave an apple to each teacher and staff member. To wrap up their unit on Bears, Mrs. Smith’s Pre-K class celebrated Teddy Bear Day! Students brought a favorite teddy bear or stuffed friend to school and enjoyed a day full of bear-themed fun. They listened to teddy bear stories, moved and grooved to bear-inspired music, and even participated in teddy bear sorting and graphing activities.

Our 1st graders had a special guest speaker, Luis Soriano, founder of Biblioburro in Colombia! Mr. Soriano shared his inspiring story about traveling through towns with his burros to bring books to children who might not otherwise have access to them. Students enjoyed listening to the story “Waiting for the Biblioburro,” asked questions, and were so thankful to receive their very own copy of the book! ♥️📚🫏
